Careers Build Up

The innovative pilot project will support eligible BAME graduates, in particular those from modern universities, to move into junior and trainee manager positions within Construction and related sectors during the run up to the 2012 Olympics. Our provision will include initial advice and guidance, positive promotion of construction careers, sector awareness raising linked to seminars, and supported NVQ Level 3 training linked to employment outcomes and the CSCS health and safety qualifications. The project will identify employment opportunities and vocational courses to meet the needs of each beneficiary and employer.

Mutual Gains

This project will work with BAME communities in Tower Hamlets to promote volunteering opportunities in the not for profit and charitable sector that will develop employment and life skills, promote the public and not for profit sector. Our provision will include information, advice and guidance, positive training needs analysis, volunteering opportunities, accredited training and place at least 150 workless residents into full time employment.
